Monday I had my first of five visits to speak at colleges. In the next month, I'll be traveling around talking about Nickelodeon, "Tak", and the new CG Animation Apprentice Program. The visit at Cal State Fullerton was a great first run. There were probably about 50+ students, and myself and Alison Mann (our recruiter) and Rusty Tracy (our Lead CG Artist on "Tak") talked to them about the industry and Nickelodeon. I tried to give a lot of career advice on reels, what to show, networking, how a good attitude is important, etc. It was great to see what students today are working on and see how I can further help them grow. Two more visits at other schools this week, but I'll put those in separate threads so they're nice and big...
